If I was famous…
The recent report of the CSI dude getting busted for drugs and being passed out in his car made me think…if I were famous or even just moderately known on a #1 show…would I act the same way?
In my nearly 40 years, I have done some things that could be deemed down right stupid. (My thanks to the Athens PD for not giving me a DUI in 1988 after believing my “it is cologne” story.) I’ve done some things I have regreted but I was thankful to keep on the up and up. Yes, there are times (especially recently) where I have been thinking “what if I took a right instead of left” in my life choices, but generally, I think I have done good. So I look at Gary Dourdan (CSI Worrick for those playing at home) and seeing the report of him passed in his car at 5:20 AM with heroin, coke, ecstasy, and prescription drugs in his car. FIrst he announces he is leaving CSI (DUH #1) and now this (DUH #2). (Paging Jan-Michael Vincent, Jan-Michael? Gary Busey? Paging Gary Busey?) I mean come on!
So I go back to my original question, would I succumb to the tempations if I were famous? I think I can definitively say no however, I would be paying a lot of people to keep their mouths shut!
And just a quick note about Obama’s speech denouning the Rev. Wright comments: can someone say COVER MY ASS? Could it be someone told him people (including me) are not voting for him now? This “speech” should have come weeks ago. It is too late Mr. Obama, you lost my vote weeks ago.
