I have returned! Time to detox.

Boy, it has been forever!  We have so much to discuss.  But first, this sports report.

The East Paulding MS Raiders were defeated by the South Paulding MS Panthers 19-38 in play on Saturday.  Sperm had limited play mainly on punt/kickoff return.  EPMS just did not come to play missing numerous opportunities.  Plus, the referees called a poor game missing several key calls involving potentially injury-inducing tackles.  His father did shout a lot and lost the majority of his voice.  The Raiders are 3-2 going into their final game with McClure MS on the road this Saturday.

And I would be remiss if I did not mention the #20 Team FINALLY won at Talledega six second-place finishes.  It appeared Tony would have to take second again after a pass from the 6 car however, the 6 passed illegally below the yellow line to gain position and was forced to 18th after a penalty.  Go Tony and #20!  I am glad he was able to get that win.  Let’s hope he gets the opportunity to visit Victory Lane next year as part of the #14 team.  Also, Goodyear once again had issues related to tires.  I said it a while back and I’ll say it again – FIRE GOODYEAR!  (Somebody must be providing some good p**** or c*** to someone at NASCAR for GoodYear to be around this long!)

Yes, despite the fact I was having a beer in a bar in Augusta, GA, I still watched the Palin-Biden debate on Thursday.  Frankly, I saw nothing in the debate that persuaded me to vote one way or the other.  However, I will say the following:  the word “maverick” is now annoying; Biden’s eye-tuck and/or facelift looks goofy – sort of like Joan Rivers; Palin’s constant “hockey mom” persona is a bit boring now.  I was going to early vote, but I think I will wait.

And speaking of Augusta, the conference went very well.  I was able to make some new friends, hear some good discussions, and enjoy the nightlife.  Oh, and I got a great run in with one of my friends.  We ran along the riverwalk on the South Carolina side of the river.  We estimated 5-6 miles and I think the best thing for me was that I was able to keep up with my friend who has run a marathon!  But one observation — please teach people how to give presentations and not read everything from the f-ing slides!  How boring!  Overall though – a great conference.
