Friday Free-For-All

Yeehaw!  It is Friday.  It is the free-for-all.  The drill is thus:  pick it, discuss it.

Headline:  Zac Efron to reprise Kevin Bacon role in Footloose remake.  Here we go again – original material?  Anyone?  Anyone?  That’s what I thought.

Circuit City closes all of its Atlanta area stores.  I bet it is George Bush’s fault.  Or maybe as a result of global warming?

The nation elects its first black president.  Wow.  And I was here to witness it.  I cannot wait to tell my grandkids.  But I do not envy him.  He has got a multitude of challenges to face.  Can he possibly get to them all?

Note to all of my ITP friends:  back off me bitches – I voted for “change” too.  (Read it closer!)

On the note of the election, have you heard about all of these gun stores running “Obama Sales” thinking that he’ll outlaw some types of guns.  Speculation, pure and simple.  Congress is WAY TOO SLOW to enact that type of law.  And even if they did, it would be reversed in a couple of years anyway.

Headline:  GM almost out of cash.  I say good.  Yes, it will really hurt.  But businesses that run on a failed business model need to disappear.  How come Honda, Toyota, and Nissan are not cash-strapped?  One word:  UNIONS!

Prop 8 succeeds in California and its cousin amendments pass in Arizona and Florida.  Well, it took the Black population 100 years to break through the racial divide, let’s hope gays to not have to wait the same amount of time.  It is none of anyone’s business what happens between two people as long as they do not push it on others.  Some have forgotten that – calling the Mormons?  Mormons?

Want to know why the Republicans lost?  The Christian right has hijacked the party – that’s what.  Move too far away from the center and the party loses support.  Move back toward center and watch how things “change” again.

Sperm has tried out for basketball.  Another sport?  Oh my.  I am not sure my voice can handle it!
