Headline: “Ryanair (discount airline in England) is considering charging passengers £1 ($1.40) to use the lavatory on its flights, according to chief executive Michael O’Leary.” Seriously? Is this where we have come? Pay to pee? Although – pay for mile-high club….
Warning to my friend David: “A Russian man, 28, died after guzzling a bottle of Viagra to keep him going for a 12-hour orgy with two female pals.”Gena Evans fired by GDOT Board Thursday. Last nail in the coffin of the Board in its current incarnation? Maybe, if the Governor has his way. But Ms. Evans brought this on herself. Some say she was brought in for the sole purpose of dissolving the GDOT Board. The reality of the situation is that she was a breath of fresh air in a very stale agency. I hope the staff at GDOT can recover. There are a lot of good folks that do not deserve this.
And by the way, let’s give a shout out to Sonny who FINALLY after six years in office decides to have a chat about transportation in this state. It is not the ideal situation – less political, whatev – but at least he is talking about it.
Headline: “In December, the City Council in Brighton, Mich., passed an ordinance making it illegal for anyone to be “annoying” in public, “by word of mouth, sign or motions.” Violators can be ticketed and fined.” Can I submit this ordinance here? Please? I’ve got a list of several people who would be fined.
One month and counting until the half-marathon! Could I be training more? Yes. Am I ready? Absolutely!! Bring it!
